Synopsis

A municipality in South Florida required a new voice (VOIP) solution, that would meet the needs of their local police department, as well as the ability to communicate with the local citizens still effectively, in the event of an emergency.

Challenge

Designing a solution that was highly available, integrated with Microsoft Teams, as well as other social media outlets used for emergency response, while ensuring that in the event of a natural disaster, the city can continue to communicate internally, as well as with the local city.

Solution

By designing a hosted UCaaS solution with 8×8, our customer was able to obtain all requirements for the communications as it pertains to disaster recovery, internal communications while giving them the ability to integrate with Microsoft Teams.
